We handle personal injury cases on a contingency or percentage basis. This means you pay nothing until we make a recovery on your behalf. When we make a recovery, our fee is 33.33% of the proceeds if you case is resolved without litigation and 40% if we file a lawsuit. We cover all expenses and receive reimbursement only after a recovery.
We notify you of all settlement offers and give you our opinion whether the offer is fair, but you make all final decisions because it is your case. Unlike some firms, we’re in no rush: if you’re not fully satisfied with the offer, we’re ready to keep hounding the insurance company and ready to go to court. We’re not a law firm that waives checks around on TV, signs up lots of cases, lets non-attorneys do all the work, and pressures you to settle for the first offer. Instead, we take pride in practicing law and getting you the best possible result.
We’re lucky to live in a country with a jury system that gives us the opportunity to try our cases in front of twelve randomly selected members of the community. In other countries, cases are decided by a single judge or worse by a government official. Our right to and the possibility of a jury trial is vital to us obtaining a fair outcome for you and something we must always fight to preserve.
Our firm has many years’ experience representing seriously injured clients in vehicle collisions. This includes cars, trucks, motorcycles, mopeds, bicycles, golf carts, boats, ATV’s, and pedestrian injuries. You might notice that we don’t call these “accidents.” Speeding, following too closely, improper lane change, following too close, and driving under the influence are all negligent and selfish behavior. Anyone who drives this way unnecessarily puts us and our families in danger and must be held accountable. While we can’t undo your injuries, we’ll make sure you get fairly and fully compensated for your inconvenience, damage to your vehicle, your medical bills, your lost wages, and your pain and suffering.
The process we follow is simple: We contact the insurance company for the party that caused the collision to make sure the insurance company is accepting blame and we find out how much insurance coverage is available. We talk to all witnesses and get written statements. We go to the scene of the collision to see it with our own two eyes. We research the person that caused the accident and identify any other responsible parties. We review Georgia statutes and appellate cases relevant to your case. We help you get necessary medical care. We study your injury and the treatment you are receiving so we can learn as much as possible about your injury.
Premises Liability: Injuries Caused at an Unsafe Business
We handle cases that involve injuries caused by dangerous conditions at a business. This could be a rape or assault at an apartment complex with inadequate security or a fall at a grocery store with an unsafe entrance. When a business invites you onto its property as a paying customer, it has an obligation to make sure the property is safe and in repair. Just like other personal injury cases, these are not “accidents” or so-called “slip and falls.” Rather, these are injuries caused by businesses who knowingly fail to fix or prevent unsafe conditions on their property. Without these type of claims, business owners have little incentive to keep their properties safe. If you have been injured due to the negligence of a business, please call us.
The death of family member caused by the negligence of another will undoubtedly be the most horrible period of your life, and something you can never fully recover from. We understand this pain because we have guided clients through these terrible situations. While we cannot undo what has happened, we’ll aggressively pursue the wrongdoers to make sure it never happens again. Several times, our clients have gone to attorneys who have given up on their cases because they couldn’t find insurance or were not creative in identifying responsible parties. We turn over every stone and have recovered millions of dollars in these difficult situations.
Medical Malpractice: Injuries Due to Unprofessional Medical Care
Doctors, nurses, pharmacists and other healthcare providers are a blessing. They are well-trained, work hard, and provide outstanding service. Unfortunately, like with any profession, with the good comes the bad. We only take cases with serious injuries caused by doctors and nurses whose treatment clearly falls below the average standard of care. No one should throw stones, but doctors and nurses who fail to do their job need to be held to account so their future patients are spared similar injuries. Please do not hesitate to call us if you believe you have been injured as a result of poor medical care. We will be glad to review your case and explain your options.
Products Liability: Injuries Due to Unsafe Consumer Products
These claims involve big companies who knowingly sell poorly designed products that cause unnecessary injuries to the public. These corporations make millions—sometimes billions—of dollars. Yet, oftentimes they value profit over safety. Everyone has heard about the twenty-cent part a company was unwilling to pay for that ends up causing serious injuries and sometimes death. This is not fair and this type of behavior cannot be tolerated. If you’ve been injured by a consumer product, please call. We will go the extra mile to take on these companies and make sure you are covered.
Workers’ Compensation: Injuries at Work
To provide a safety net, the State of Georgia requires employers with more than three employees to have workers’ compensation insurance. Regardless of fault, if you’re injured at work, your employer must pay your medical bills, your lost wages, and provide a settlement for long-term injuries. Without competent legal representation, you’ll not get paid the benefits you are allowed. Please call us to make sure you are covered.
Nursing Home Injuries
Nursing home providers, like medical providers, are a blessing. Taking care of the elderly isn’t glamorous or easy, and these providers show patience, love, and compassion with our family members. There are some bad apples, however. If you suspect your family member has been neglected, abused, or denied/overprescribed medications, we’re here to help. We’ll explain to you your options and make sure you are covered.
We represent clients injured in many other types of legal claims where malicious conduct or negligence are to blame. These include wrongfully arrests, sexual and racial discrimination, and whistleblower claims. If you have any questions regarding an injury you have suffered, please don’t hesitate to call us. We provide a free in-person consultation so we can carefully review your case and explain to your options for compensation.
