Mitchell Graham is a Georgia property tax and timberland lawyer who helps REITs, TMOs, charitable foundations, and private landowners reduce ad valorem taxes on hundreds of thousands of acres across 50+ counties in Georgia, Alabama, and Florida, routinely delivering millions of dollars in cumulative savings through current-use strategies and assessment appeals before boards of assessors, boards of equalization, arbitrators, and Superior Courts (including matters involving FLPA and CUVA).

In addition to land and rural property tax work, he handles civil litigation with an emphasis on family law and personal injury—including contested and uncontested divorce, child custody and visitation, legitimation and paternity, child support (guidelines and deviations), alimony, equitable division of marital property, business and professional practice valuation, QDRO coordination, modifications and contempt, temporary protective orders (TPOs), mediation and trial advocacy; and auto, truck, and motorcycle accidents, pedestrian injuries, premises liability (slip-and-fall and negligent security), catastrophic injury and wrongful death, insurance coverage disputes, policy-limits demands, bad-faith and UM/UIM claims, medical payments (med-pay), spoliation/preservation letters, and expert-driven case development.

Mitchell earned his B.A. from the University of Georgia (2004) with double majors in Political Science and Economics and his J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law, and he has been licensed since 2009. He is admitted to the Georgia Supreme Court, Georgia Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit; and he is active in the Real Property, General Practice & Trial Law, and Family Law Sections of the State Bar of Georgia, the Georgia Association of Assessing Officials, and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association.

His commentary has appeared in Georgia Forestry magazine and CLE programs. Away from the office, Mitchell is married with two children, volunteers as a Little League coach, and is an avid hiker.
